CompTIA ITF+ Test Overview

The CompTIA ITF+ exam is used to test individuals’ knowledge on the basics of computing, IT infrastructure, software development, and database use. The exam is also known as the CompTIA IT Fundamentals exam.

The most current version of the exam is the FC0-U61. The exam will have this format:

  • Max of 75 Questions
  • 60 Minutes
  • Multiple-Choice Questions

Taking the Exam

You will be able to take the ITF+ exam either online or in-person. If you decide to take the exam in-person, you will take it at a PearsonVue testing center.

Fees Associated with the ITF+

It will cost $134 to take the ITF+ exam. If you are located in a different country you can expect to pay a different fee. Learn more about the CompTIA fees.

Requirements to Take the ITF+

There are no prerequisites for taking the ITF+. Since the ITF+ is an entry level exam, you can register for the exam and take it whenever you are ready.

In addition, CompTIA does not recommend that you have any experience beforehand.

ITF+ Scores

The exam is scored on a scale that goes up to 900. To pass the ITF+, you will need to score 650+.
